2020 - The Old Dam Band

February 6: Many ODCB members worked at EVSC Solo & Ensemble contest. 3 days.
February 21: Little Old Dam Band performs for YMCA Pancake Days from 10 to 11.
February 22: Dan played with Bill Reynold’s Civil War Band for Cotillion at St. Louis Courthouse Noon to 4.
February 25: General Meeting at Castle South Middle School. Delayed band until 7:30 pm.
February 29: Little Old Dam Band played for the Kiwanis Riley Walk at Eastland Mall – 8 to 10 am. Had a Board Meeting in the food court after performing and celebrated The Band’s birthday with a cake.

March 3: ODCB met in Dragon’s Den. Band room busy with school activities.
March 14: LODB was scheduled to perform at Newburgh Health Care. Cancelled due to virus.
March 15: River Brass concert at Central High School cancelled due to virus.
March 17: CSMS closed due to virus. Woodwind sectional at Dan’s house with MJ, Marcia Wines, Prudie Moore, Sara and Dan Solano, Jeff Middleton, Jerry Reese, and Dan Schultz.
March 18: U of E Band discontinued due to virus.
March 19: BBQ still getting together despite virus.
March 20: LODB performance at Newburgh Health Care cancelled due to virus. Still meeting at Dan’s house.
March 24: CSMS closed due to COVID-19. ODCB did not meet.
March 28: ODCB Board.
March 30: No ODCB. CSMS announced it would be closed at least through April 3rd.

April 7: No ODCB. School now closed through May.
April 14: No ODCB.
April 21: No ODCB.
April 25: ODCB board meeting.
April 28: ODCB Spring concert at Friedman Park. We did the concert after one rehearsal playing some old rehearsal material.

June 4: BBQ started meeting outside in a shelter house at Friedman Park.
June 6: LODB resumed Saturday morning rehearsals by meeting outside at Dan’s house.
June 6: BBQ performed an outdoor concert at Doug Chambliss’s cul-de-sac.
June 9: ODCB woodwinds met for sectional at 6:30 under Bernhardt’s carport.
June 15: ODCB sectionals. Woodwinds at Jenny’s and brass at Bernhardt’s.
June 20: LODB performed at Bell Oaks Retirement Home outside in gazebo at 10 am.
June 23: ODCB rehearsed outside in west parking lot at Newburgh Christian Church.

July 7: ODCB rehearsed outside in east parking lot at Newburgh Christian Church.
July 14: ODCB rehearsal still outside at Newburgh Christian Church.
July 18: LODB still meeting outside at Dan’s at 9 am.
July 21: ODCB still outside at Newburgh Christian Church.
July 22: John Wittenbraker died.
July 25: ODCB Board.
July 28: ODCB still outside.

August 13: BBQ continues to meet outside at Friedman Park.
August 25: Dan’s heart surgery. ODCB still rehearsing outside at Newburgh Christian Church.
August 29: No LODB.

September 4: LODB meeting outside at Dan’s.
September 11: LODB rehearsed outside at Allen Family Amphitheater. 9 am.
September 15: ODCB still rehearsing outside but looked at Tymchek Auditorium to possibly use for winter rehearsals.
September 19: LODB rehearsed outside at gazebo in downtown Boonville.
September 22: ODCB Fall concert at Friedman Park. Dan didn’t play.
September 25: LODB followed by Board Meeting. Joe Harbert is absent with COVID.

October 1: LODB concert at Oaklyn Library cancelled due to virus.
October 6: ODCB leased the Genesis Auditorium for Tuesday nights and began rehearsing there.
October 9: ODCB workday to clean up Genesis Auditorium.
October 10: Fall Festival Parade cancelled.
October 20: ODCB rehearsal with Randy Wheeler to check sound at Genesis Auditorium.
October 23: BBQ inside at Dan’s house.
October 24: LODB back inside at Dan’s house for the first time since March.
October 31: ODCB Board.

December 1: Made recording of Christmas concert for broadcast on The Evansville Library Facebook channel on 12/16 at 6 pm.
December 8: ODCB live stream concert on Facebook.
December 12: Merry Tuba Christmas at the Allen Family Amphitheater at 2 pm.
December 15: No ODCB. LODB met at The Genesis Auditorium to make a recording. Heat was not working!
December 22: No ODCB. BBQ met at the Genesis Auditorium to make a recording.
December 26: ODCB Board.
December 29: No bands.
