- January 13th: The Day Band played at Bell Oaks at 12:15 PM.
- January 16th: No band. Schools closed due to snow.
February
- February 24th: The LODB played at Eastland Mall for the Riley Walk.
March
- March 3rd: The LODB played at Oasis Health Care for Dave Emery’s birthday party.
- March 17th: Work day to service our set of timpani. Jerry Reese and Michael Garrison assisted.
- March 20th: Castle South down for safety training. Rehearsed at Castle North Middle School.
- March 24th: The LODB played at Signature Health Care for Karl Zimmerman. Karl has played tenor sax with the LODB for several years before getting sidelined by illnesses.
- March 27th: ODCB Spring concert at the Newburgh Central Library.
April
- April 3rd: No ODCB. School closed due to storms.
- April 9th: Installed new tuning gauges on 29” & 32” timpani.
- April 14th: LODB played at Signature Health Care at 10 AM for Karl Zimmerman.
- April 21st: LODB at Newburgh Health Care at 10 AM. John Wittenbraker is living in rehab there.
- April 28th: LODB at Oasis Health Care. Dave Emery is there.
May
- May 2nd: Terre Haute Band Festival. Played at 4 PM.
June
- June 7th: The Day Band started rehearsing Civil War tunes in preparation for Newburgh’s Cotillion scheduled for July 20th at Rolling Hills Country Club.
- June 9th: The ODCB played at Cyprus Grove Health Care from 11 AM to 2 PM.
- June 16th: The LODB played at the Newburgh Farmers Market at 10 AM.
- June 23rd: The LODB played at Newburgh Health Care at 10 AM.
- June 24th: John Wittenbraker had been in rehab at Newburgh Health Care but was transferred to a facility in Houston, Texas today to be where his daughter lives.
- June 26th: Jerry mentioned to The Band at rehearsal tonight that he was thinking about ‘retiring’ from directing The Band. This was met with stiff opposition, and after a bit of begging, he decided to stay on.
July
- July 3rd: Newburgh’s fireworks were rained out.
- July 4th: The ODCB held its annual picnic at the big shelterhouse at Friedman Park from 2 to 5 PM. Several ensembles entertained The Band.
- July 20th: The Day Band provided music for the ‘Newburgh Remembers’ Cotillion at Rolling Hills Country Club.
- July 28th: The LODB performed at Oasis Health Care at 10 AM for Dave Emery.
August
- August 18th: The LODB performed at 3 PM at Hemenway Church in Boonville.
September
- September 4th: Met with Christy Powell, David Willis, Carol Schaefer, and Leanna Hughes about an alternate plan for the new amphitheater footprint and roof.
- September 8th: The LODB played at the Newburgh Farmers Market at 10 AM.
- September 22nd: I received a call from Jim Fox that he was having trouble hooking up a car dolly to a U-Haul truck. I went to help him and got him on his way towards Denver, Colorado around 9 PM.
- September 25th: ODCB Fall concert at Friedman Park.
- September 29th: LODB at Newburgh Health Care at 10 AM.
October
- October 2nd: Jerry on vacation. Dick Bernhardt and Jimmy Moore conducted rehearsal.
- October 6th: Fall Festival Parade at 4:30 PM.
- October 13th: The LODB provided music for the ‘Hanger Bash’ fundraiser for the Evansville Maritime Museum from 6 to 9 PM.
- October 27th: The ODCB led Newburgh’s Halloween Parade.
November
- November 5th: The ODCB Annual Meeting was held at the Newburgh Library.
- November 10th: The Day Band performed for the Veterans Day luncheon at Bell Oaks at 12:30 PM.
- November 17th: Karl Zimmerman moved from Newburgh Health Care to a facility near his son in New Albany. He had already lost one leg, and the other one was amputated on December 12th.
- November 18th: The ODCB participated in the Evansville North Main Street Parade at 2:30 PM.
- November 25th: Mark Myers fell out of his attic and broke his back. He was in rehab until December 21st, then went home to recover.
December
- December 3rd: Received word that Carl Zimmerman passed away at 7:35 AM.
- December 11th: ODCB Christmas concert at the Newburgh Central Library – Randy Wheeler is the MC.
- December 18th: ODCB Christmas concert at the Evansville Central Library.
- December 29th: Band party at Dan & Terri’s.
